Asus has introduced its latest netbook, dubbed S101.
Boasting to be ultra-slim and super-portable, the S101 netbook weighs just 1kg and measures 10.4 x 7.1 x 0.7-1 inch.
It is powered by 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU and runs on either Windows XP or Linux operating system. Besides, the latest netbook also comes equipped with a 10.2-inch WSVGA display with LED-backlight that delivers a resolution of 1024×600 252K display, up to 64 GB SSD, Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.0.
Additionally, the S101 also incorporates a VGA quality webcam with VGA output, a 4-in-1 card reader and three USB 2.0 ports, multi-touch trackpad and up to five hours of battery life.
The Asus S101 netbook comes in three different shades such as brown, champagne and graphite.
The S101 netbook is offered in two configurations; the first model comes with a 16GB SSD, Windows XP and an additional 16GB SD card. It retails for $699 (approx. Rs. 33,210). The other version bundles a Linux-operated system with a 32GB SSD and costs $699 (approx. Rs. 33,210), whereas a Linux-operated system with a 64GB SSD has a price tag of $799 (approx. Rs. 37,963).
