Dell has expanded its Inspiron family with the new Inspiron 13 laptop and Inspiron 518 desktop, delivering quality performance with style at a reasonable price. The Inspiron 13 poses a simple and chic look in glossy Pacific blue color with black trim while the Inspiron 518 desktop is dressed in glossy black.

The small and light Inspiron 13 laptop is an efficient mobile PC whose starting weight is about 5 pounds. At a decent budget the Inspiron 13 features a 13-inch HD display, capacitive touch media buttons, a slot-loading DVD drive and 8-in-1 media card reader. It offers some optional features like a built-in webcam, built-in wireless networking and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Dell Inspiron 518 desktop features a top media tray with two easily accessible USB ports, faster networking connections with Gigabit Ethernet, DX10 integrated graphics, optional 500GB hard drive and optional quad core processors.

Dell also offers a variety of service application and software programs like the Dell support center, Dell video chat and Dell dock. It also offers the PC TuneUp tool that automatically finds and fixes issue. This tool is available at the Dell website for $39.95.

The starting price of the Dell Inspiron 13 is under $800 (34,056), Wal-Mart is said to be selling a special $700(29,799) config of the laptop in the US from August 3. The Inspiron 518 is available at a starting price of $349 (14,856) and will be available at the Dell website.
