Verizon Samsung Sway phone now available for order




Verizon and Samsung have announced the Samsung Sway phone which will be available for order at the Verizon Wireless Communications Stores as well as at Verizon’s website. The stylish Samsung Sway is packaged in a slim slider design with a silver finish and is said to hit the stores on Oct. 14.

The Samsung Sway is media center-capable and lets you download games, ringtones, wallpapers, location-based services etc. It is also mobile web-capable allowing you to customize and enhanced wireless access to the latest in news, sports and weather.

The Samsung Sway bundles up mobile IM capabilities, text, picture and video messaging, supports Bluetooth, 2.0 megapixel camera with NightShot, microSD card slot up to 8 GB, camcorder, bilingual user interface (English and Spanish), calculator, calendar, alarm clock, world clock, stop watch and notepad.

Verizon Wireless customers can use the Sway as an MP3 player that provides access to more than 5 million songs from V CAST Music with Rhapsody.

Measuring 4.15″ (h) x 1.96″ (w) x 0.47″ (d) and weighing about 3.56 ounces, Samsung Sway also features a 2.2″ display. Its battery offers usage time up to 270 minutes or standby time up to 312 hours.

The Samsung Sway phone will be available on the Verizon’s network for $69.99 (approx Rs. 3,364) after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
