Complementing Mac computers, Logitech has unveiled its latest keyboard, dubbed diNovo Edge Mac Edition. With this launch, the company has extended the award-winning line of diNovo keyboards.
Claiming to be the first diNovo keyboard designed for the Mac, the Logitech diNovo Edge, Mac Edition is remarkably thin as it measures just 1/2 inch or 11.05 mm. Shining in a high-gloss, semi-translucent Plexiglas frame, the keyboard shows off its sharp angles and soft-orange backlighting in addition to the aluminum palm rest with anodized-silver finish.
This special edition diNovo Edge keyboard can be used with the iMac and the MacBook Pro computers through Bluetooth wireless technology that supports a range of up to 30 feet.
“We’re truly delighted to offer discerning Mac enthusiasts our highest quality in keyboard design and performance. From the piano-black finish to its built-in TouchDisc touch pad, the diNovo Edge can make it a pleasure for you to type, control music or launch your favorite applications,” stated Denis Pavillard, vice president of product marketing for Logitech’s keyboards and desktops.
Logitech has added few keys to help Mac users to access mail, Safari and iTunes along with many other Mac-specific applications by just a touch. The other special functions include Power button to switch on and off the Mac computer, and TouchDisc that is placed on the right of the keyboard enables users to scroll and navigate the computer. Similar to laptop, users have to move their fingers on the disc in a circular motion to scroll horizontally and vertically through documents. While doing this, users will find the cursor moving on the computer screen. However, for the TouchDisc capability, users need to install Logitech Control Center software.
Besides, the diNovo Edge incorporates PerfectStroke key system, which ensures a comfortable, fluid and silent typing as it has the ability to product longer key travel as compared to the conventional keyboard. The distance has enhanced from 2.2 mm to 3.2 mm to optimize comfort.
The diNovo Edge Mac Edition also comes embedded with a charging base that removes the burden the changing batteries. The base powers the keyboard as and when required, offering up to one month of battery life after charging for four hours. Interestingly, if you charge the Mac-specific keyboard for just 10-minute, you can easily use for a whole day.
Priced at $159.99 (approx. Rs. 6,705), the Logitech diNovo Edge, Mac Edition wireless keyboard is slated to reach American market by this month.
