MSI announced to introduce its latest graphics cards for 3D gaming. Named R4870-T2D1G, the graphics card comes integrated with 1 GB DDR5 memory that offers superb computing capability, encouraging game enthusiasts to enjoy the DirectX 10 high-capacity 3D games easily and smoothly. The company has introduced two versions of R4870, in 1 GB and 512 MB memory capacity.
Based on the 2nd generation of 55nm GPU, the high-end level graphics card comes bundled with the ATI PowerPlay power-saving technology which delivers twice the performance development with the same wattage. Thanks to the MSI (ECOlution) environmental protection theory of evolution objective, the R4870-T2D1G meets the demand of the environmental energy conservation worldwide initiative.
Some of the other essential features of the MSI R4870-T2D1G graphics card include superior UVD 2.0 video decoder core, an incorporated HDCP key encryption that shows compatibility with Blu-Ray and HD DVD movie disc playback. It boasts to make 100% complete hardware acceleration to the MPEG-2/VC-1/H.264 video format. It promises to shrink the load on the CPU and the UVD 2.0 can simultaneously decode two videos in PIP (Picture-in-Picture) Mode.
Moreover, the latest MSI R4870-T2D512 also supports the DirectX 10.1 framework of Windows Vista Service Pack 1 and provides 800 stream processors that boost to reach the exceptional levels teraflop (1000Gflops) computing capability.
Compliant with CrossFireX technology, the MSI graphics card and CrossFire ready mainboard collectively enables 2~4 graphics cards to work at the same time that significantly delivers attractive gaming performance.
The 1 GB DDR5 graphics memory claims to reduce lagging. The GDDR5 uses lower voltage and higher clock, reduce the noise and ensure excellent visual quality. The graphics card is compatible with 7.1-channel surround sound and takes advantage of a single HDMI connector output audio and video for transferring.
MSI hasn’t announced the price and availability date of the R4870-T2D1G Graphics Cards yet.
