The Opticon Mobility Group has announced that their H16 Smartphone has received the AT&T certification. In addition, the company is also seeking the AT&T certification for H19 Smartphone, which is schedule for a September release.
Based on Windows Mobile 5 Professional, the H16 smartphone comes equipped with a full slide out QWERTY keyboard, a 2.8-inch color touchscreen LCD, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and support for quad-band cellular (GSM/eGPRS).
Windows Mobile 6.0 compliant H19 smartphone employs quad-band cellular (GSM/eGPRS), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth communication, an integrated GPS module and numeric keypad. It is believed to be the Best New Network Compatible Device by AT&T at the CTIS Wireless Tradeshow.
The phone includes features like 64MB of RAM, 2.5mm headset jack, Mini-USB device port, and MiniSD slot support for memory expansion.
While the H16 offers 4 hours of talktime and 150 hours of standby time on 4 hours of charging, the H19 delivers 4 to 8 hours of talktime and 4 hours of operating time on 4 hours of charging.
At present, the pricing details of both the Opticon H16 and H19 smartphones are not available.
