Motorola expanded its popular ROKR phones portfolio with the addition of three new music phones, namely, MOTOROKR EM30, EM28 and EM25.
Starting with ROKR EM30, it takes advantage of ModeShift Technology to transform the mobile phone into a funky music phone by lighting up the keypad with red or blue colors, depending on your preference. Moreover, the candy bar handset also boasts ‘seconds-fast’ MP3 downloads, RDS technology-based (Radio Data System) FM Radio which obtains details about the song being played.
Other features of the Motorola EM30 phone include a 2 megapixel camera, Motorola’s Crystal Talk technology, 3.5mm stereo headset jack, Windows Media Player 11 compatibility, up to 8GB microSD memory card storage support and GPRS/EDGE connectivity.
Next is the ROKR EM28, the flip phone flaunts touch sensitive keys that appear on the screen to manage songs. While listening to songs, you can keep the clamshell close and still get information of the song and artist from the front display of the phone. The quad band GSM-enabled handset sports additional features such as GPRS/EDGE, Bluteooth and USB 2.0 connectivity, text to speech recognition, airplane mode, 3D sound effect for surround-sound music experience, CrystalTalk technology, an audio equalizer with 11 preset music genres such as rock, reggae, pop and others for maximum entertainment. The EM28 support various audio file formats, including IDI, MP3, 32-poly AAC, AAC+, Enhanced AAC+, WMA, WAV, AMR-NB, and Real Audio (RA) v10.
Furthermore, the clamshell music phone employs a 1.3 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom for video recording and playback, 2 GB microSD memory and ability to deliver up to 450 minute of talk time, 250 hours of standby time and 11 hours of music playback.
Lastly, the sleek slider ROKR EM25 phone comes equipped with an integrated FM radio with RDS, dedicated music key, capability to store music library, SONGID technology to identify songs, and the FMShare that aloows users to share their favorite FM station with friends by sending it to them as a text message.
Additionally, ROKR EM25 also includes 1.3 megapixel camera, 2GB microSD expandable memory support, 3.5 mm headset jack, speakerphone, one touch MP3 player, airplane mode, CrystalTalk technology, Bluetooth and support for GPRS. Users can enjoy music playback with AAC, AMR NB, MIDI, MP3, WAV file formats.
Expected to hit the markets later this quarter, the Motorola ROKR EM30 will be first seen in Taiwan and the ROKR EM28 and EM25 will be available worldwide. The company hasn’t revealed the pricing detail.
